Gratitude has a habit of creating a happy heart and mind. This November, use these tips to incorporate gratitude into your daily routine. Continue them as the year goes on.

  1. Name one thing you are thankful for each day. This can be done at the dinner table, in a journal or just before bed. For example, “I am thankful for the kind people in my class.” or, “I am thankful for a roof over my head.”
  2. Write Thank You Notes. A great way to spread gratitude is through a thank you note. Let someone know that they did something nice for you or that the gift they gave you meant a lot.
  3. Volunteer Your Time. This is a great time of year to volunteer at a soup kitchen or for a Toys for Tots drive. This can create gratitude by interacting with those less fortunate.
  4. Take a Daily Gratitude Walk. Take a walk in nature while listing to yourself all of the things you are grateful for.
