Gratitude has a habit of creating a happy heart and mind. This November, use these tips to incorporate gratitude into your daily routine. Continue them as the year goes on.
- Name one thing you are thankful for each day. This can be done at the dinner table, in a journal or just before bed. For example, “I am thankful for the kind people in my class.” or, “I am thankful for a roof over my head.”
- Write Thank You Notes. A great way to spread gratitude is through a thank you note. Let someone know that they did something nice for you or that the gift they gave you meant a lot.
- Volunteer Your Time. This is a great time of year to volunteer at a soup kitchen or for a Toys for Tots drive. This can create gratitude by interacting with those less fortunate.
- Take a Daily Gratitude Walk. Take a walk in nature while listing to yourself all of the things you are grateful for.
