From the Superintendent’s Pen
Dr. Gregory T. Jackson – Superintendent of Schools
Welcome to the Ford Heights School District 169 and our website.
It is an honor and a privilege to serve as Superintendent of Schools of Ford Heights School District 169.
In the Ford Heights community, we are committed to providing students a safe and caring learning environment, stellar instruction, access to cutting-edge technology, and relevant learning opportunities that will prepare them for success beyond high school in the 21st Century. We value, respect, and support our teachers because we believe the key to student learning is great teaching. To help inspire and engage students in their learning, we provide teachers ongoing, useful professional development and technology tools to bolster their instruction for the purpose of advancing student learning to the highest levels.
We aim to make School District 169 one of the finest in the state, as it is our belief that we can make it better. We enjoy the support of a wonderful parent community. Our dedicated and talented staff members bring skill and enthusiasm to their work each day. And we have the privilege of working with children and young people who amaze us with their talents and gifts.
Thank you for supporting us in the important work of educating our community’s children and young people. We sincerely appreciate this support and our community’s commitment to building excellent schools. Our students both need, and deserve nothing less if they are to reach their potentials.
We believe it is this unique interrelationship between parental and community support, and how this support is channeled in ways that allows the school’s administration and faculty to create an environment of academic excellence, that sets Ford Heights School District 169 apart and allows the school to achieve a level of distinction for the “Next Generation of Excellence”, our students.
I look forward to working with all members of our school and community family as we continue to make strides in the education of our young people! If you have any questions, or if we can be of assistance, please feel free to call us at 708-758-1370.
Yours for Better Schools,
Dr. Gregory T. Jackson
