Another academic year is hurriedly coming to a close.  It is hard to believe that we are fewer than 7 weeks from closing out the 2010-2011 school year.  What is easy for us is to say that,  through your support, we have had a very strong academic year.  We have completed annual testing and are working toward our typical culminating activities. 

As always, I say thanks for the great level of support that came from our parents and the community as we worked to do the job of educating children of this community.  It is through your efforts that we gain strength to do so.  Success for our children becomes more than a distant dream when all of us work together.  Together, we make success in school our most important business. It is not quitting time, it is finishing time and so we ask you to help us finish strong and support us with the following:

1. Continue to assist your child with homework.

2. Set a specific bed time so that your child is alert throughout the school day.

3. Make sure that your child arrives to school daily and on time.

4. Listen to your child read and discuss the stories or articles with them to check for understanding.

5. Make sure that your child has the required school supplies.

6. Ensure that your child eats a well balanced breakfast every morning.
