The Superintendent's Pen
As we move forward in educating the boys and girls of this community, we also look forward to partnering with parents, local government officials, and community agencies. Our students come to us with many strengths and talents. But daily, they are faced with what seems unconquerable circumstances. I say to our parents, those of you in public office and our other partners, we can not educate our children without the support received from each of you. We know that if our students fail, then we also fail.
We do not take lightly our assignment of working to make certain that the students of Ford Heights receive an education that prepares them for the challenges of tomorrow's highly technological and ever changing society. Therefore, in our capacity as educators, it is incumbent upon us to make certain that we are working daily to promote our mission. By working to continually strengthen our four action components: school environment, curriculum and instruction, staff development, and parental involvement, we are able to coordinate our efforts to educate our children.
We encourage the participation of our parents and the community. The children of any family or community represent its growth and survival potential. We need and welcome your involvement and support as we prepare our students for their tomorrow.
