District 169 offers a strong academic program, highly qualified administration, faculty, and staff as well as state of the art technology designed to ensure that students attend school in an environment "where learning is both challenging and rewarding. In order to maximize the learning potential for every individual, students are served in both traditional and non-traditional academic settings. Students are encouraged to practice good citenzenship by respecting themselves as well as others.
Students attending Ford Heights schools, who require specialized services and care as defined by the Americans With Disabilities Act(1990), are served by our highly trained Pupil Personnel Service team. We incorporate RTI strategies and PBIS measures in order to provide addtional academic and behavior support to our "at risk" students. .
The district has many partners in education and works closely with these learning partners in shaping and facilitating extra-curricular programs and activities. The District supports its partners and the community by providing access to the Tidye A. Phillips School as an events and activities facility. First and foremost, we strive daily to make school an academically and socially rewarding experience for all students.
