"SUCCESS IN SCHOOL - OUR MOST IMPORTANT BUSINESS"

PARENT PARTICIPATION

School District 169 recognizes that a student's success in school, to a large degree, is linked to parent participation. Parents are strongly encouraged:

1. To attend scheduled district parent/teacher conferences.
2. To see that children are at school on time and every day.
3. To review and sign homework papers and any papers that have low scores (these papers are to be returned to the classroom teacher the following day).
4. To check on student's progress in person from to time.

In an effort to adhere to the State of Illinois mandate, School District 169 understands it is required to retain any student who does not meet the district standards for promotion. The teachers will make the recommendation to retain or promote all students. In all cases, the building principal will make an objective  decision on all retentions.
